A danger bearing is drawn from a charted object tangent to a hazard, labeled (for example) 'NMT 040°T.' To stay safe you keep the object's actual bearing:
- AMore than 040°T
- BExactly 040°T at all times
- CNot more than 040°T (on the safe side of the danger bearing)✓ Correct
- DAstern at all times
Explanation
A danger bearing is a single LOP set so that as long as the object's bearing stays on the safe side (here not more than 040°T), the vessel remains clear of the hazard. NMT/NLT labels tell which side is safe.
