A running fix is obtained by:
- ATaking two simultaneous bearings on different objects
- BAveraging several depth soundings
- CUsing radar range only
- DAdvancing an earlier line of position to cross a later one, allowing for course and distance run✓ Correct
Explanation
When only one object is available, you take an LOP, run for a time on a known course and speed, take a second LOP, then advance the first LOP by the distance and direction run. Their intersection is the running fix.
