Towing & Ship-Assist · Lights - Partly Submerged
A partly submerged tow (or object being towed) that is difficult to see and over 25 meters in breadth must display:
- AA single green light
- BAdditional all-round white lights to mark its breadth, and a diamond shape at the aftermost extremity by day✓ Correct
- COnly a sternlight
- DNo additional marking
Explanation
Rule 24(g) requires inconspicuous, partly submerged tows to be marked with all-round white lights at the forward and after ends (and along the sides if very long or wide), plus a diamond day shape at the after end, so other vessels can judge the tow's extent.
