When two sailing vessels have the wind on different sides, the vessel which has the wind on her port side shall:
- AKeep out of the way of the other✓ Correct
- BHold her course
- CTack immediately
- DSound two short blasts
Explanation
With wind on different sides, the port-tack vessel gives way to the starboard-tack vessel. With wind on the same side, the windward vessel keeps clear of the leeward vessel.
