OUPV & 100-Ton Master · Credentials — Route Endorsement
An OUPV or Master credential endorsed for 'Inland' waters does NOT authorize operation:
- AOn any river
- BOn any lake
- CSeaward of the Boundary Line (on near-coastal or ocean waters)✓ Correct
- DIn any harbor
Explanation
An Inland route endorsement is valid landward of the COLREGS Demarcation (Boundary) Line. To operate seaward of that line, the credential must carry a Near-Coastal endorsement (generally to 200 miles offshore), which requires additional sea service and exam topics.
