Engineering · Electrical — Generators
Before paralleling an incoming AC generator with the bus, it must be matched for voltage, phase sequence, and:
- AOil pressure
- BFrequency and phase angle (synchronized)✓ Correct
- CCooling water temperature
- DExcitation current only
Explanation
To parallel safely the incoming machine must match bus voltage and phase rotation, and the synchroscope (or lights) must show equal frequency and near-zero phase difference at the instant the breaker is closed.
